In fact, one in five children is likely to be bullied; 18 percent of the city’s high-school students are bullied, and students who are lesbian, gay, or bi-sexual are twice as likely to be cyber-bullied( sparks, guide to parenting). This a sad number because no one should be bullied about who they like and how they express their self. Because of bulling kids have taking their life into their own hands. Bulling can happen  where and when ever, this is sad because if you child will start to believe what those kids are saying about them. After awhile they could start to believe their is no why out and they will take their life or harm their self. So parents if  your kids or kids if you are being bulled you should tell someone so you don't do something you will regret and never let what anyone says about you harm or hurt your fells because they also are hurting or hurting others to make their self  fell better and to get attention.

  1. I agree that it is sad and wrong that eighteen percent of high school students are bullied. I think other high school students need to be aware that their hurtful words are the reason why many teens kill and hurt themselves. I personally never have been bullied, but I have seen other teens get bullied and get both emotionally and physically hurt; yet, the bullies think it's funny. Maybe if bullies truly understood the hurtful power of their words, more lives of teens could be saved.

  2. Bullies often, but sometimes not the case, also suffer from bullying. Most likely from their families, therefore, needing to feel better by saying to other people what most likely is being said to them. If we were to combat bullying in a more effective way we would need to start at the source,in which the case being if the bully is being mistreated at home.
